Chilianu Family is a Godly family working for the glory of God. God blessed them with two amazing children – Mihaela (an eight year old young lady) and Marin (a seven year old boy), both of them are the most loving and carrying children one can ever see. Marin’s dream is to become a Pastor - like his father – to offer love and compassion to people in need. They are always near those in need, opening their home to people from all around the world. At their wedding an anonymous person from abroad made them a wedding gift – a small 1 room apartment. Small, but always was full of people, friends and guests that could feel as home no matter how far they were from home. This place hosted people from Scotland, Romania, Ukraine and USA, as well as being e refuge for people from Vatra (small village with a big heart) who needed advice, love and a home to stay.
Vladimir and Natalia – people who never spends time in vain, always helping others, putting others’ needs before their own. They have a giving and serving heart, full of love and compassion for people in our small village as well as for the whole population of our country. When you feel thirsty or hungry you can come to them and they will feed you. When you feel lost and homeless they will host you. Jesus said in Mathew 25:35-40:“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me….' This is Chilianu’s life motto! Their main goal in life is to please God, serve God and love God.
For many people Chilianu Family is a Father, Mather and a Brother. Father – by guiding and advising you as well as rebuking you when is deserve it. Mother – offering you a hug when you need it the most and Brother – having open and sincere discussions with you in the most vital moments of your life. In their lives we see the image of Christ.
Now Pastor Vladimir and his family are going through very difficult times: they lost their home to the bank as their small furniture business got into financial struggle due to the Credit Crunch. In the next 20 days, by October 5, 2010 they must evacuate the apartment that was once theirs! Another small apartment in Vatra costs around $30 000 - $50 000 which is an impossible amount for any person from Moldova. Moldova is a developing country that recently was freed from the Soviet Union and communist regime and the unofficial annual salary is $ 2400. For Chilianu Family now is a period of trails and faith tests. They helped a lot of people, they offered comfort to anyone who needed it. Now they need help, they need comfort and support. The Bible says in Proverbs 3:27 “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act.” As a Christian family we are ought to help one another and especially when our brothers and sisters are in terrible suffering. Do you wanna be a miracle? Open your heart and get involved by:
- 1. Praying – lift up your prayers daily for this family and the need of a new apartment in Vatra; James 5:16 (b)
- 2. Giving – offer time, support and resources to bring them peace, joy and a miracle; Romans 12:13(a)
- 3. Sharing – tell others about Chilianu Family and ask them to be part of fulfilling this basic need.
